I am a frequent traveler to Europe and a chore from my Dad sent me looking for property in St Tropez in the south of France. I did wonder why Dad should be interested so resolutely in some property there, so far away, on the shores of the Mediterranean. I knew of his longing for milder climate and an irresistible fondness for the French lifestyle.
